October's Meeting

Join us for our October Meeting

October 15, 2013
7:00 PM "Writing Your Ancestor’s Life Story” Robert Givens
"They say that when a person dies a library burns. Family History work should be more than the dates and places of a person's life. To bring a person to life we need to tell their story. This presentation will give you suggestions on how to take a writing project from the beginning to completion. Can you actually write an ancestor's life story? Of course, you can! Come and learn how."

General meeting at 7:oo p.m. with program to follow.
Trinity Presbyterian Church
1600 Carver Rd.
Modesto, CA.

Help Support Our Genealogical Society!

2013 Red Poinsettia Fund Raising Event
Pre-Sale: September 1, 2013 to November 19, 2013
The Genealogical Society of Stanislaus County voted last spring to support a Poinsettia fundraising effort. Orders have been coming in already! Please support this fundraising effort. As your treasurer, I can say with confidence, that this activity is vital to the success and vitality of our great organization. You may be surprised to learn that your annual dues make up only 50% of the costs incurred by your organization.
Remember, they make great gifts for friends and family, and a lovely addition to your own home decor.
You can pre-order your beautiful poinsettia plants for early December pick-up, by completing this form and either mailing the form, bringing it to the November meeting. If you have any questions please call Sharon Hawley-Crum at 209-838-2118. Thanks in advance for your support of our organization!
